What's New in Microsoft Surface Version Two

A lot of innovation, passion and pixie dust has been rubbed into Microsoft’s massive multi-touch darling since the first iteration of Surface made the scene back in 2007. With version two of the technology, Surface is a leaner, agile, more flexible update of an already intriguing platform. With a little bit of luck, you may have a chance to tinker with one of the devices at a retail, banking or hospitality location in the very near future.

This past week, I was fortunate enough to spend 30 minutes speaking with Somanna Palacanda, Director of Marketing for Microsoft Surface. I have to admit, it was one of the most pleasant tech conversations—let along interviews—that I’ve had in sometime. Mr. Palacanda passion and enthusiasm for the work that Microsoft has done on Surface really comes through when he speaks about the technology. Being an admittedly jaded individual, I came away from speaking with him, not only excited about Surface, but fired up about technology in general. These truly are amazing times we live in.
