If there’s one thing that’ll bring the denizens of the interwebz together as a legion of hate its Digital Rights Management. Universally despised by computer users, DRM has been inflicted on host folk who pay for their software, movies and music for years, all in the name of trying and failing to prevent digital piracy.

While it’s a cinch that the entertainment and software industries will continue to alienate their customers with these draconian measures in an effort to cling to an already dwindling profit margarin, I’ve nonetheless suggested seven methods that companies might want to consider adopting instead of DRM when it comes to slowing down the rate of online piracy of their wares.
