Well, the contracts have been signed sealed and delivered. Starting tomorrow, in addition to my work for Maximum PC, PC Gamer, Mac|Life, and TabTimes, you’ll also be able to catch me writing for PC World’s Business Centre on a weekly basis.
As a tech journalist, I’m thrilled to be working for another top shelf publication. As a freelancer, I’m relieved to have another company that’s willing to pay me for the words I churn out—in this game, diversification is a key survival tactic. As a writer, I’m hoping that having regular gigs will help me to set up a schedule that’s a little more friendly when it comes to working on a number of fiction projects I’ve been grinding away at for some time now.
Most importantly, as a geek, I’m amazed and grateful that in the little over a year and a half that I’ve been writing full-time, I’ve been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to write for so many of the publications that I’d been reading for years. Without getting all weepy about it, having the gigs that I do really is a dream come true.
