I’ve set up Google to send me a notice whenever my name pops up online. It’s a great way to discover when my work has gone online, or when someone is syndicating it without permission. What I find typically doesn’t take me by surprise. Today proved an exception.

If you’ve ever wondered about why we do what we do, but not quite enough to bother emailing us to find out, it’d be worth your time to give Ed’s piece a good going over.
