I’ve set up Google to send me a notice whenever my name pops up online. It’s a great way to discover when my work has gone online, or when someone is syndicating it without permission. What I find typically doesn’t take me by surprise. Today proved an exception.

Ed Zitron of Forbes Magazine put together an entirely flattering feature story that introduces people to The Wirecutter and Brian Lam’s vision for the site. It’s a short enjoyable read. If you’ve ever wondered about why we do what we do, but not quite enough to bother emailing us to find out, it’d be worth your time to give Ed’s piece a good going over.
