The Apple Watch is good for many things. With WatchOS 3.0 announced, that list will no doubt get a little bit longer a few months from now. It sucks, however, at extended travel. Power hungry, requiring a dedicated cable to charge and difficult to read in direct sunlight, I'm not a fan of taking it on excursions with me, if I can avoid it. Now, thanks to Garmin's Tactix Bravo, the thought bringing an Apple Watch with me on an excursion, or even wearing one on a day-to-day basis, doesn't even cross my mind. Offering everything I want from a smartwatch and more, the Bravo has become my go-to piece of wrist candy. I love the simplicity of its design, easy-to-navigate interface and perhaps most importantly, the fact that it can go for weeks at a time without needing to be recharged.
