I left for Europe on April 2nd to walk the Camino de Santiago: a 780km trek form the French side of the Pyrenees Mountains to Santiago de Compostela. It took 25 days, two hospital visits and a whole lot of walking to complete. Along the way, I lost two pant size's worth of weight and tested 12 different pieces of gear for the Globe & Mail.
The piece is written in two parts: The first, which can be found here, focuses on what I've chosen to take with me and why. The second, which'll be released in the coming weeks, deals with how each piece of hardware performed while I was on the road.
